                                                                                                                   ISO Spaces Oyster Bar

Cornwall-based ISO Spaces, launched in April 2013 by Ben Treleaven and Gregg Curtis, designs and manufacturers high specification bespoke modular buildings made from recycled shipping containers. The containers, which can be fully fitted out are used for pop up bars and restaurants, contemporary designed modular accommodation and office space units.

Following growth funding from SWIG Finance in January 2014, the company have just been awarded the 2014 Ignite Cornwall award, delivered by Oxford Innovation. ISO Spaces win a prize package worth £120k which includes legal and business support.

ISO Spaces has received commissions from recognised household names including the MOD, Wethersoons, Jeep, Fiat and the BBC.

“We’re aiming to treble our turnover this year and have plans to build more interesting spaces on an even bigger scale,” said Ben Treleavan. “So far we have built bars, retail units, home offices, catering and restaurant spaces and we have been asked to design containers ranging from observatories to portable golf simulators. I feel it’s the tip of the iceberg of what’s possible for our product.”

“Without the backing of SWIG, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
