Cornwall-based company Clayworks, is celebrating after winning the Excellence in Innovation award, sponsored by the RBS Group, at the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual Chamber Awards 2013. The Chamber Awards, now in the 10th anniversary year, is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, highlighting the role of business as a positive force for the UK recovery, and for local communities.

Clayworks, which have received support from SWIG Finance in the past, is a member of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, and was praised by the judging panel for its extensive research and design to produce a 100% biodegradable, toxin-free clay finishing product. This has now been specified for use in more than 50 Nando’s restaurants, eco-towns in Cornwall, and the new Duchy of Cornwall development in Newquay.
