Cornwall Business Fair takes place on Wednesday 13th May and according to Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, it is looking like it will be the best yet.
The day starts with Cornwall Chamber of Commerce’s BIG May breakfast at 8am in Eden’s Gallery. Open to members and non-members, this is expected to be the Chamber’s largest BIG breakfast to date with 180 hungry delegates taking advantage of the great networking opportunity. Guest speaker at breakfast is Thom Hunt, wild food expert and star of Channel 4’s Three Hungry Boys.
At 10am, Cornwall Business Fair will officially open and delegates can look around over 80 stands, listen to short presentations being given on the Lightning stage, visit Pirate FM’s media bus, promote themselves using the Twitter wall and the hastag #cornwallbizfair, and make connections using the Cornwall Business Fair networking app.
A fantastic set of speakers have been lined up for the day; all seminars are free to attend and don’t have to be pre-booked. At 11.30am and 14.30pm, Tanya Mann Rennick, Founder of London’s premier business networking club, will talk to delegates about the STARR principle – a guide to having a brighter and more successful life. At 11am, businessman and founding Chairman of Westcountry Television, Sir John Banham will share his lessons for business, highlighting opportunities for businesses in Cornwall.
At 2pm the President of the British Chambers of Commerce will take to the stage; Nora Senior is one of the UK’s most successful business women and will address the business audience on the topic of ‘Drivers of business success in the 21st century’, examining the impact of digital technology, international trade and the role of young people in business today.
Late afternoon features a complimentary cream tea in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) networking area, as well as lightning stage presentations and the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a weekend for two in London.
Delegates attending Cornwall Business Fair get free parking and free entry to the biomes all day; there’s plenty to do, so strike out your diary and take your meetings to Eden!
