Cornwall made its way to No. 10, Downing Street last week in the form of Managing Director of the Cornwall Camper Company, Jess Ratty. Jess travelled to London to meet the Prime Minister after she received support for her business from the government supported Start-Up Loan delivered by SWIG Finance.
The event also marked the announcement that the Government is investing £69 million into supporting start up businesses in the UK. Over the past two years, tens of thousands of people have been helped by the loan to turn their ideas into reality and David Cameron believes this additional support will help thousands more.
“The start up loan was the first time anyone had recognised and believed in the potential of our business idea and that support has proven invaluable over the last year,” said Miss Ratty.
