In February the IOD South West will be debating the future of crowdfunding and other non-bank finance. The new crowdfunding industry has grown rapidly during the recession as have other less traditional sources of finance.
The debate will examine whether crowdfunding and other non-traditional sources of finance are here to stay, and what developments we can expect to see.
Speakers at the event will be:
- Jane Dumeresque, CEO Folk2Folk which started lending to businesses in Cornwall and is now expanding across the region
- Craig Jackson, Funding Circle, one of the largest peer to peer lenders in the UK
- Richard Eckley, Crowdcube, the Exeter-based pioneer of equity crowdfunding
- John Peters, CEO SWIG Finance, the leading South West responsible finance lender
Delegates at the event will have the opportunity to question the speakers on recent developments and to express their own views on what is happening in the market. Breakfast and refreshments are included in the price and places are limited.
