SWIG Finance is participating in a brand new event taking place in March at the Red Brick Building in Glastonbury. The free business support and information day hosted by Mendip, will feature a series of talks and drop in information sessions of relevance to start up and small businesses around Somerset.
The aim of the event is to help small and start-up businesses to maximise their effectiveness and avoid some of the pitfalls in running your own business and local businesses and potential start ups can come along for free advice on a range of topics.
The event has been set up and co-ordinated by successful SWIG Finance applicant, Jo Friend who launched Jo Friend Digital a small business social media consultancy, in October 2014 with funding and support via the Start Up Loan Scheme and her colleague Shaun Grist from Cabot Computing.

“It’s great to have them at the event and help more people locally find out what support is available to them from SWIG Finance as well as other local organisations.”
