SWIG Finance is a Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) with operations across the South West. It is an impact-led company which delivers and manages its own funds as well as those of other organisations.

Due to business growth, we are seeking to recruit a Start Up Loans Officer to join our busy Start Up Loans Team.

You will be reviewing volume numbers of loan proposals from a diverse range of new and early-stage businesses. Full training will be provided to ensure you operate to set minimum standards, as well as ongoing support with your continuous professional development. You will have the opportunity to progress within the team and gain your own lending discretion.

You will need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic that enables you to adapt quickly to many different types of applicants and proposals.

You will have good analytical skills to quickly become confident with reading and interpreting a set of accounts and business plans. You will need to be comfortable with working in a team environment.

The role is ideally suited to a graduate, preferably with some financial services background.

Starting salary £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
