An £80k CBILS investment has been made to support Centurys Club – a long- established venue in Kingswood, Bristol, which, like many other businesses operating in the night-time economy, has been unable to trade since the pandemic started.
The funding comes at a critical time, because, although the UK is losing 40 night-time businesses each week, there is now is a roadmap in place for reopening and the business can, with the injection of vital investment, start to plan for the future.
Centurys Club is owned by local businessman and ex- professional snooker player, Jamie Woodman, who said, “The uncertainty around reopening has made this a very challenging time for us. The CBILS loan has helped to lift some of that pressure so that we can begin to look ahead. My business manager, Nicola, was proactive and professional, and she was able to process the application very efficiently”.
SWIG Finance’s Business Manager in Bristol, Nicola Mapp helped to secure the investment. She commented “Anyone who lives in Kingswood and the nearby areas will know that Centurys Club is an integral part of the local community. We are pleased that we can support this business during these difficult times”.
