Devon-based Agri Market Insight & Access Ltd (AMIA) has received a £100,000 business loan via SWIG Finance.

The loan, which has been backed by Triodos bank, will support the business’ growth plans. These plans include creating two new jobs and amalgamating their various smaller brands into one overarching distributor brand.

AMIA

Since 2012, the family-run business has been distributing agricultural machinery through its extensive dealership network.

AMIA is led by Managing Director, Alan Dennis, and shareholders Clifford and Jennifer Dennis. Markedly, the family has over 80 years of combined experience working with agriculture machinery.

The business venture began when they spotted a niche in the market to provide an expansive range of equipment under one brand.

Over the recent years, AMIA has rapidly expanded and now boasts a multi-million-pound turnover.

Of the funding, Alan Dennis commented, “We are grateful that SWIG Finance was able to support our growth plans, consequently the funding means that we can proceed with our plans within a much quicker time frame”.

SWIG’s Business Manager Rachael Taylor said “The success of AMIA is a real good news story. To keep up with customer demand the business has created two new sales roles, which is an astounding achievement for a rural business in the current COVID-19 landscape. We are excited to see what the future holds for them and we are delighted to have contributed to their ongoing success”.
